Sela Cup – St James’ Park, Newcastle
Get your black-and-white scarves at the ready, because a new summer tournament is coming to St James’ Park – and promises Geordies their first taste of European action in decades.
The inaugural Sela Cup, presented by VisitMalta, will see Eddie Howe’s black and white army test their mettle against Fiorentina, Nice and Villareal and in festival of football across the weekend.
As well as seeing how Newcastle’s pre-season preparations are going and how the new recruits are settling in, Newcastle United Women will also take on West Bromwich Albion in their first match at the stadium since securing promotion and turning professional.
