Shonen Knife – The Cluny

Formed in Osaka in 1981, Shonen Knife is a female pop-punk band wowing audiences with their bright, ‘bubblegum’ punk songs.

Their style is influenced by 1960s girl groups, pop bands, the Beach Boys, and early punk rock bands such as the Ramones.

With stripped-down songs and simple yet unconventional lyrics sung in Japanese and English, Shonen Knife brings something refreshingly different to the music scene.
