Happy Planet is an award-winning social enterprise gift shop and gallery, specialising in ethical gifts made by local artists and fair trade artisans.

The business was established in 2014 by local artist Gail Curry who lost her speech in 2019 as a result of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and she now communicates with customers through speech apps on her phone and tablet.

Ethical working is fundamental to Gail (it’s where the name of her business (Happy Planet) came from. She uses hand-dyed British wool from small suppliers that she has been using for a long time and keeps all packaging sustainable.
