Found in Jesmond on the lovely Brentwood Avenue, Nucasa is an Aladdin’s Den of homewares and gifts. Based in Aviary Art Gallery, Nucasa also has a cafe with indoor and outdoor seating, a range of local coffees, teas, and soft drinks, as well as cakes from Cake Stories and pastries from Layla’s Kitchen, Zoccolan Bakes and Les Artisans de Jesmond.
Full of bright and wonderful things, from various independent makers from across the UK, Nucasa is a real gem. Easy to get to with parking on street outside, you can come along and stop for a drink and some cake, and have a shop. You might end up going home with a full bag of self-presents, like jewellery, soaps, ceramics and glasses, cushions, etc.
