Founded by designer, maker and tutor Emine Thompson, Silverkupe is a small, independent boutique jewellery studio based in the creative heart of Newcastle – The Ouseburn Valley.

Emine specialises in limited collections of handmade art-jewellery in silver and gold  with bold designs, colours. Her expressive jewellery offers a contemporary twist on more traditional ideas and she makes one-of-a-kind bespoke jewellery for people who like unique and timeless pieces. Her jewellery sells at more than 10 art galleries and boutique gift shops across the UK, including recently at the Biscuit Factory Art Gallery in Newcastle – the UK’s largest independent commercial art, craft & design gallery.

Emine, with her more than 25 years of teaching experience, provides jewellery making workshops as well. She takes great pleasure to share her love of making and pass her knowledge to everyone who likes to try new things and enjoy creativity. She creates a social environment where people get to know each-other with a maximum of 6 attendees in each workshop. In this way she is able to give her time equally to all the attendees. Emine also provides private-bespoke workshops to individuals and groups, including her recently launched wedding ring workshop.
