Axis Bar and Bottleshop

Axis is a small neighbourhood bar just over the High Level Bridge in Gateshead, specialising in serving craft beers and natural wines. Nine taps carry a constantly rotating range of different beer styles, and along with an ever-changing list of wines from small winemakers all over the world, Axis strives to ensure there is something for everyone. Alongside this, there is a small but thoughtfully curated bottleshop section, and owners Alex and Alice are always on hand to help with recommendations, explanations and tasters.
