Nature was captured differently by artists across the centuries, from the Pre-Raphaelites’ ideal of ‘truth to nature’, to the light and colourful paintings of the British Impressionists.

This exhibition is a celebration of nature in many forms. It features several loans, as well as pictures from the Laing’s extensive collection.
