Anne Redpath and Her Circle – The Maltings

This exhibition displays works by Anne Redpath, one of Scotland’s finest mid-20th century artists.

Redpath spent a lot of her time in the south of France, where she painted alongside Scottish colourists Samuel Peploe and Leslie Hunter. She moved to Edinburgh in 1949 and became part of the group now known as the ‘Edinburgh School’, whose members has all trained at Edinburgh College of Art.

The artist’s beautiful paintings will be accompanied by works from other Edinburgh School artists, shining a light on the accomplishments of this forgotten group.
