Baltic Open Submission 2024

The North East is bursting with incredible visual artists, sculptors, painters and more. The Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art, in association with Fenwick, has brought over 100 creatives and visionaries to the Gateshead space, where they’re showcasing their work to the public.

Open from 10am to 6pm and running until 1 September, the exhibition is free to attend.

The exhibiting makers and artists span a wide age range, from spray paint street artist Terox, aged 11 to an 80-year-old former Chartered architect Paul W. Kelso, inspired by his daughter to apply.

Work from successful applicants can be viewed at Baltic’s expansive Ground Floor gallery space alongside works submitted for inclusion by established contemporary artists.
