Mister Shakespeare – The Customs House

Locked inside his rooms in 1606, Shakespeare escaped the clamour and contagion around him and created three of his masterpieces: Antony and Cleopatra, King Lear, and Macbeth.

Meanwhile, actors were shouting for new roles, playwrights were begging to collaborate, his brother was whining for help, his wife wanted her marriage back and his lover longed for love.

This new play explores Shakespeare outside of his identity as a writer – as a man, a father, an actor and entrepreneur. This man is ambitious, troubled, funny, loving, and trying to make sense of the chaos all around him.
