Swifties across the UK are anxiously awaiting to see if they’ve received the code which allows them access to tickets to the European leg of Taylor’s Eras tour today.

But with demand unprecedented for the ‘Shake It Off’ hitmaker, many are likely to miss out. And even those who are lucky enough to get a code may still lose out when it comes to actually buying their tickets.

Following the Ticketmaster scandal that arose when the singer first announced her US tour dates, it seems her team have tried to refine the process for buying Taylor Swift tour tickets for her European dates. But what that means for us is that they’re even more hurdles to jump through, queues to wait through and nails to bite through.

It can all be a little overwhelming.

Especially when all you really want to do is listen to a great artist live.

Which is why we’re calling back-up – in the form of the ticket experts at SeatPick, who make it their mission to know all the insider hacks needed to secure those all-important live tour tickets to a whole host of international artists.

But not content with just sourcing one lot of expert advice, we’re also bringing out the big guns – we’ve asked a Swiftie, too.

Taylor’s fanbase are fiercely loyal, passionate and meticulously over-attentive to every Easter egg the singer throws at them. They know their stuff. So, it would be remiss of us to ignore their hard-earned wisdom, now it’s crunch-time.

So, without further ado, here’s everything you need to know about securing the Taylor Swift tour tickets you’ve been dreaming of…

TAYLOR SWIFT TOUR TICKETS: WHAT THE EXPERTS KNOW

‘Taylor Swift’s tour is inescapable on social media,’ says Gilad Zilberman, SeatPick co-founder.

‘This is proving to be one of, if not the biggest tour Taylor has ever done. Her songs are more popular now than ever and this new tour is clearly reflecting that.

‘For international fans preparing to get to her European shows, here’s a list of our top tips to ensure that you don’t miss out on securing exclusive Taylor Swift tour tickets:

Ensure you register for tickets

In order to have the best shot at getting Taylor Swift tour tickets, you need to register on her Ticketmaster site first, where you’ll be able to choose your preferred location.

Although, Ticketmaster stress this doesn’t guarantee you a ticket, you’ll be contacted by Ticketmaster letting you know whether you’ve received an “on-sale code” or placed on a waiting list.

It’s important to get your loved ones to register too – more people registering for tickets may increase your chances of success.

Check all relevant pre-sales

This one’s for the fans who pre-ordered her Midnights album – if you did, you’ll be happy to know that you’ll receive a pre-sale code.

Look out for an email notifying you of the pre-sale dates and your opportunity to choose your preferred cities.

As above, this doesn’t guarantee you a ticket, but the dates for UK pre-sale tickets are on the 10th, 11th and 12th July. Ensure you check your spam folder just in case, so you don’t miss out.

Ensure you have a Ticketmaster account.

You want to minimise issues on the day you actually buy your Taylor Swift tour tickets, so ensure everybody trying to secure them has signed up and logged into Ticketmaster first.

This will allow you to skip a few vital seconds in the process of paying and securing your Taylor Swift tour tickets and could make all the difference.

Also, ensure your payment details are set up too!

Never refresh the page.

Once you are in the ticket queue, never be tempted to refresh. You may lose all your hard work and get kicked to the back of the very long queue.

Being patient and not panicking is key to success.

Don’t panic if tickets sell out straight away.

Missed out on your Taylor Swift tour tickets? Be sure to check back on the sites after they say they’re sold out. Sometimes ticket payments don’t go through, the website crashes and more tickets are still available. Keep checking for roughly two hours after release. You might just be lucky.

Like in the US, there will be a higher-than-usual demand for international tickets, which means additional dates may be added, so don’t panic if you aren’t lucky the first time around.

Only purchase from sellers you know and trust.

Although it might be tempting to purchase Taylor Swift tour tickets elsewhere if you weren’t successful on the day, be wary of who you’re buying from and do your research beforehand.

Never allow someone to send you a screenshot of a ticket as these are invalid, and never send payment before receiving your Taylor Swift tour tickets. If something looks too good to be true, it probably is.’

TAYLOR SWIFT TOUR TICKETS: WHAT THE SWIFTIE KNOWS

Amelie G – a Swiftie from London – has been lucky enough to see Taylor Swift perform live a number of times both in the UK and further afield.

Here, she shares some lesser-known hacks she’s found useful when it comes to purchasing those elusive Taylor Swift tour tickets…

  1. Clear your browser cache – To free your device’s memory and ensure there’s absolutely nothing slowing down your browser, clear the cookies and browser cache.
  2. Don’t have multiple tabs open – It’s tempting to ‘increase’ the chances of getting tickets by opening multiple tabs, but in reality it slows down your system – adding valuable seconds to your purchase.
  3. Be prepared to wait – I’ve waited for two hours to secure tickets before. Be patient. It can take a long time because they only allow a select few onto the site at any given time, so don’t panic if you think it’s taking ages.
  4. Try not to panic and think positively – There are always other opportunities to grab tickets, so don’t lose motivation if it doesn’t work out the first time.

Good luck in your Taylor Swift ticket buying ventures!
