RSC Julius Caesar – Theatre Royal

The Royal Shakespeare Company brings this fast-paced political thriller to Newcastle.

Julius Caesar is a divisive leader who holds awesome power. Concerned that Caesar poses a threat to democracy, revolutionaries take the violent decision to murder him. They have no plan for what comes next. Civil war erupts and a new leader must rise: but at what cost?

A story of control, power and chaos, this new adaptation of Shakespeare’s timeless story poses the question: how far would you go for your political principles?
