There is Light in the Fissures: Art Exhibition – Belsay Hall

This captivating exhibition was put together by English Heritage’s first visual art fellow, and 2022 Turner Prize nominee, Ingrid Pollard MBE.

After spending her year-long fellowship at Belsay Hall, Ingrid has created a collection of interventions and installations that explore the surrounding landscape and the site’s history.

Admire delicate paper fragments layered on torn wallpaper in Belsay Hall’s bedrooms, stumble upon clandestine mirrors within the Quarry Gardens, and stand beneath an imposing large-scale stone installation in the Greek revival hall.
