From a glamorous, New York-inspired cocktail bar to an innovative new way to exercise and the season’s first festive tipi, it seems Newcastle has it all this November.

Glamorous, New York-inspired cocktail bar Manahatta is set to open on Saturday 18th November, offering swanky serves, small plates and unforgettable entertainment.

From neon signs to disco balls, swing chairs and a photo booth, expect zany décor with a party vibe to match. And every day is a party day with the line-up of live DJs Manhatta has in store for us.

And since we’re heading into the holiday season, we can also spot festive bottomless brunches and Christmas party packages on the ho-ho-horizon here.

TAPYARD STUDIOS

Beer hall. Coffee house. Live music venue. Rehearsal studio. An all-round, dog-friendly haven. It seems whatever you want it to be, hip new Hoults Yard haunt Tapyard Studios is ready to deliver.

With craft beer from all your favourite local breweries (not to mention some pretty cracking cocktails on the menu), street food traders serving up the goods, a swanky urban vibe under twinkling fairy lights and live musicians and DJs getting toes tapping all night, we’re predicting this will fast become one of our new faves.

The name of the Bodyroll game is to perform exercises that also offer the stimulating benefits of deep-tissue, lymphatic massage.

Moosenwirt is the alpine pop-up village opening on 17th November, where you can expect cosy, rustic vibes, mulled wine and twinkling fairy lights for days.

A giant yurt bedecked in festive finery and cosified with outdoor heaters, inside you’ll find a huge log-wood bar and plenty of seating around crackling fire pits, where you can enjoy seasonal drinks while soaking up live music.

If you’re feeling fancy, book one of their igloo domes or luxury lodges for your clique to enjoy exclusively. But if you’re more go-with-the-flow, walk ins are always welcome – as are your dogs.

We’re beyond excited that rebel restaurant are opening their sister venue, Ro, later this month.

While Ro will revolve around the same values of sustainability, locality, community and quality that helped rebel claim a spot in the Michelin Guide just a year after opening, the bar will also have its own identity – focusing more on creative cocktails and quality bar food than fine dining.

Inside, expect to find celebrations of North East vendors, brewers, farmers and distillers. And the fact that Ro will become the home of Patty Melts cheeseburgers? That’s just the cherry on top of the cake.
