The wellness retreats to book in 2024

Spring is here and if you’re anything like us you’ll be considering your holiday options for the sunnier months ahead.

If you need a wellness boost, one of these North East wellness retreats could be just the thing to help you feel rested, relaxed, rejuvenated and nourished.

Yorkshire Wellness Retreat

When: 31st May – 3rd June (1 room left) and 1st-4th November

Price: £500pp when sharing a room or £1000 for single occupancy with a discount if you’re a Wellness Space customer.

These luxurious retreats are the ultimate boost to your wellbeing. Hosted by local yoga teacher and Wellness Space owner, Claire Lormor, they’re the perfect way to practice yoga, socialise and eat well.

This retreat is held at a gorgeous house in Appleton-le-Moors in the North Yorkshire Moors. The area is known for its incredible scenery, picturesque walks and that priceless sense of peace and calm. There are a range of room options, but hurry as the retreats always fill up fast.


Ramside Retreat Days

Price: £185 per person

Love spas? Love yoga? Love being pampered? Short on time?

Wellness Space has teamed up with Ramside Hotel and Spa to create the perfect one-day retreat, packed with goodness – from relaxing yoga and spa treatments to delicious food.

The day starts at 11.00am and includes spa access, a treatment, lunch, yin yoga session and more before finishing at 6.00pm. This is the perfect way to get that retreat feeling without having to use up that precious annual leave.


Sound and Meditation Retreat at Shepherd’s Dene, Northumberland

When: 24th-26th May 2024

Price: £350 per person

This relaxing and healing retreat is perfect for anyone looking to try sound healing for the first time. Reiki practitioner, Fiona, will lead you through a series of sessions including colour healing, counselling and sound baths.

The retreat aims to help all attendees to be supported physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.


3 Day Vinyasa, Ashtanga and Nidra Retreat, York

When: 28th-30th July 2024

Price: from £380 per person

Hosted at the beautiful Dieghton Lodge this is a idyllic retreat for any yoga lover. The three-day retreat includes seven yoga classes, time to relax and all meals and snacks.

There is also spare time to explore York or simply unwind, making this the perfect getaway whether going with your yogi friends or fancying a solo break.

Yoga teacher Debbie Jenkins will be guiding all guests through the yoga classes. Debbie is a trained personal trainer and yoga teacher. She has had her own yoga and fitness studio since 2011.


Escape to the Sea Retreat, North Yorkshire Coast

When: 10th – 13th September 2024

Price: from £510 per person

This three-night retreat will take you to beautiful Saltburn-by-the-Sea for a combination of supervised sea swimming, hiking and yoga. Delivered by the team at Pretty Gritty, everyone is welcome to enjoy this retreat which can be adapted for all levels.

The longest hike will be ten miles, while sea swims will be followed by a pop-up sauna on the beach. There’ll be yoga on the beach, picnics and more on this energising and exciting wellness retreat.


Brinkburn Weekend Yoga Retreat

When: 16th-17th November 2024

Price: Prices start at £349 for the non-residential option (great if you’re local and looking to save some money), while rooms start at £150 per room per night, with twin rooms available. 

Set in the beautiful surroundings of Brinkburn, this is a gorgeous yoga retreat to help you unwind, relax and get close to nature.

The wellness retreat includes delicious food, a range of yoga classes, breathwork and guided walks. There’s also the opportunity to book treatments with LIFE Holistic Therapies.

It promises to be revitalising and restorative – perfect for preparing for the cooler months and slowing down in winter.
