Whether you’ve just come back from your holiday, have one booked or aren’t jetting off anywhere this summer, there’s nothing like exploring cuisine from around the world.

But you don’t have to travel too far to get to try those exotic flavours that get our taste buds tingling – (just a 13 min drive from Newcastle to the Metrocentre to be exact)

When it comes to choices for refuelling during a spot of retail therapy at Metrocentre, we really are spoiled for choice.

With over 60 places to eat from independent cafes and coffee shops like Beckleberrys, to high street favourites like Nandos, brand new names such as Grounded Kitchen and cult international brands such as Wingstop, these Metrocentre restaurants cook up cuisines from across the globe just waiting for us to explore.

We’re talking authentic Italian food full of your favourite flavours but with a modern twist, healthy Korean-inspired dishes that make eating out guilt-free and comforting hot bowls of ramen to spice things up.

We’ve rounded up our favourite Metrocentre restaurants where you can experience flavours from around the world without having to leave Gateshead.
