Diaries at the ready – the North East wedding fayres you won’t want to miss in 2024

Whether you’re newly engaged or in the midst of planning your big day, wedding fayres and events can be really helpful to give you fresh ideas and help you find the right vendors for your celebration.

However, finding events to go to on top of the planning itself can feel overwhelming. Luckily, here at HLN we’ve done the work for you and here is our breakdown of all the big wedding events to attend in 2024.

New Venue Open Day: The Garden Room  

Where: The Biscuit Factory

When: Sunday 21^st April, 11.00am – 2.00pm

Price: Free entry with a complimentary drink on arrival

Newcastle’s newest wedding venue – The Garden Room – is opening its doors on Sunday 21^st April to showcase the botanical oasis. They’ll have Q&As with local suppliers including photographers, make-up artists, planners and stylists as well as cheese and wine tastings and live demonstrations. Tickets are free but book online to secure your place.

The Big Yorkshire Wedding Show

Where: Pavilions of Harrogate

When: Sunday 28^th April, 12noon – 3.00pm

Price: £6.00 VIP / £3.00 General Admission

This is one of the biggest bridal shows in the North and as well as 75 exhibitors, a bridal catwalk and styling zones, for those with a VIP ticket there will also be a pre-show bridal sample sale, a welcome drink and VIP Bridal Bag.

Wedding Open Day at The Parlour

Where: The Parlour, Blagdon

When: Sunday 28^th April

Price: Free entry

The Parlour at Blagdon is a gorgeous Northumberland wedding venue which is flexible enough to work for a lavish, luxurious celebration or a small intimate occasion. On this open day, the venue will be set up for a wedding so you can wander around the grounds and decide if the venue is the perfect place for you do say ‘I do’.

Gateshead Stadium Wedding Showcase

Where: Gateshead International Stadium

When: Sunday 30^th June, 12noon – 4.00pm

Price: £1.00

While vendors are yet to be announced, this event promises over 80 suppliers will be attending and offering their best deals. Plus, you’ll get a goody bag and entry into a prize draw for £200 towards a vendor showing on the day.

South Causey Wedding Fayre 

Where: South Causey Inn

When: Wednesday 3^rd July, 4.00pm – 8.00pm

Price: Free entry

Explore this iconic wedding venue while meeting with their range of recommended vendors. Exhibitors include photographers, hairstylists, MUA’s, dresses, cakes, grooms wear and more. There will also be top class entertainers including musicians, magicians and photo-booths.

Lumley Castle Wedding Showcase

GNB Wedding and Events UK is teaming up with Lumley Castle to bring a spectacular wedding showcase like no other. There’ll be a mixture of vendors in this beautiful, historic setting. Perfect whether you’re planning with your bride squad or your fiancé.

Spanish City Elite Wedding Fayre

Where: Spanish City, Whitley Bay

When: Sunday 29^th September, 12noon – 3.00pm

Price: Free entry

Discover the beautiful Spanish City on the Northumbrian Coast and a wide range of amazing wedding vendors. As well as being able to view the wedding suite, if you pre-register you’ll receive a goody bag. On the day there’ll be a 350 photobook, giant macaroons, confetti samples and plenty of discounts as well as much more!
