One of Newcastle’s most glamorous venues is hosting a charity fashion show this Summer – and the theme is pink!

Leila Lily’s, on Newcastle’s Grey Street, is joining forces with model agency, TTM, and Pink Boutique to hold a Pink Party fundraising event. Now normally it’s on Wednesdays that we wear pink, but not this time – this special event will be held on Sunday 8th August. Best of all, the money raised from the day will go to the Gosforth-based Daft as a Brush Cancer Patient Care Team, which transports cancer patients to and from hospital for their treatment, free of charge – taking away any extra worry, stress, and cost of travel. A dedicated team of absolute angels, we couldn’t think of a more worthy cause.

What to expect…

The party will start at 3pm, when you’ll walk through the doors of Leila Lily’s and be greeted with a Little Pink Dress cocktail, (specially created for the occasion).

Before tucking into an completely-pink afternoon tea – think pink scones, pink macarons and, yep, even pink sandwiches – then it’ll be time to sit back and enjoy as TTM’s models parade a selection of outfits from (the fittingly named) Pink Boutique, all of which can be purchased from its website after the event. So you’ll already know you’ll have plenty material for that next Insta post. Fashion, fabulous food and drink and the colour pink everywhere you look, plus you’ll be enjoying all this while helping a worthy cause. Sounds like our ideal night out!

There’ll also be charity auctions throughout the afternoon, with the chance to bid for prizes from top brands such as Bentley, City Retreat, Victoria’s Secret, Charlotte Tilbury and Tom Ford. Woweee!

Wanting to keep the party going? Don’t we all! The good news for you is that you’re then invited to head to Leila Lily’s basement club lounge, 212@Leila Lily’s, from 8pm onwards, where you’ll be served pink burger sliders while dancing to a soundtrack of music from live DJs, a saxophonist and a drummer. Good vibes only!

Part of four-AA star The Grey Street Hotel, the £1.5m restaurant and bar is owned by the Malhotra Group, which owns a whole load of bars, hotels, and restaurants across Tyneside. And Daft as a Brush – based opposite the Group’s newly renovated Three Mile and Great North Hotel, in Gosforth – is their chosen charity for 2021.

So let’s be having you ladies – why not head along this August, have a good giggle, and give something back to those who in need.
