BETH’S FAVE: The White Chocolate Biscoff and Cranberry Chocolate Bar at La Chocolatrice

La Chocolatrice Factory and Shop, Unit 1 Commercial Road East, Coxhoe, Durham DH6 4LD

Beth adores white chocolate, which is why La Chocolatrice’s White Chocolate Biscoff and Cranberry Bar is her favourite indulgent treat. This deliciously creamy white chocolate bar is studded with crunchy Biscoff crumbs and sour cranberries – a flavour combo that’s sure to make your mouth water.

At La Chocolatrice Factory, founder Zoë and her team hand-make a wide range of deliciously dreamy chocolate treats that aren’t only visually stunning but taste amazing too, being made from only the finest and freshest ingredients. But there are two sides to this business – Zoë also hosts chocolate making workshops. Aka the most fun to be had with friends, on a date or as a team building activity with your colleagues.

ROSIE’S FAVE: The Summer Vibes Brownios at Cake Stories

12 Brentwood Avenue, West Jesmond, Newcastle upon Tyne NE2 3DH

Anyone who knows Rosie will know that she’s a feeder. Whenever someone is having a bad day, she’ll make sure to feed them back to happiness. So, Cake Stories’ freshly handmade Brownios are her dream – as this ultimate comfort food can be delivered right to our office.

Rosie loves Cake Stories’ newest Brownios collection, The Summer Vibes Brownios, which contain four gooey, melt-in-the-mouth Brownios with two fudgy, dark chocolate brownie shells sandwiching silky smooth buttercream and delish surprise fillings, leaving you with a taste of summer. The best part? There’s a Brownio to suit everyone’s taste, whether it be fruity, tongue-tingling or rich.

RACHAEL’S FAVE: Chocolate Orange Brownies Box at The Lemon Tree Deli

1 Irton Street, Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne NE3 1HU

Just a short walking distance from HLN’s HQ, The Lemon Tree Deli has been our go-to spot for lunch for a while now, but they’ve recently launched their freshly baked postal brownies, which are to die for. Think soft, gooey and chocolatey deliciousness on the inside with chunky chocolate bar favourites on the outside.

There’s nothing Rachael loves more than a Terry’s Chocolate Orange – she’ll rarely share a full one. That’s why her favourite afternoon pick-me-up is The Lemon Tree Deli’s Chocolate Orange Brownies Box, featuring six brownies made with hints of orange oil and finished with slices of chocolate orange – an indulgent treat that can be shared around in the office. Or not.

MOLLY’S FAVE: Sour Cherry and Mascarpone Chocolate Cake at PureKnead

38 Dean Street, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 1PG

Whenever Molly is in Newcastle for meetings, she loves to pop into PureKnead to pick up some slices of their indulgent Sour Cherry and Mascarpone Chocolate Cake to bring back to the office. With layers of rich chocolate, a light mascarpone cream filling and a sour, juicy cherry to top things off, this silky-smooth cake really gets our taste buds tingling.

A piece of cake just makes everything better, but sometimes we can feel guilty for it. That’s why this artisan bakery is one of our fave spots as PureKnead makes sure to keep us healthy, without making us sacrifice all our favourite goodies by using pure ingredients without unnecessary additives or chemicals – so there’s no excuse not to inndulge!

LAURA’S FAVE: Chocolate Brownies at Brew & Bite

214 Chillingham Road, Heaton, Newcastle upon Tyne NE6 5LP

You really can’t go wrong with a classic chocolate brownie, can you? That’s why Laura’s go-to cheeky treat is a Brew & Bite Chocolate Brownie. Rich and fudgy in the middle with a sprinkling of nuts on top, these brownies have everything you could ever want in a dessert.

A neighbourhood hangout in the heart of Heaton, Brew & Bite is a speciality coffee shop and kitchen serving up daily treats with seasonal flavours. From early morning goods for those on their way to work to mid-morning snacks, lunchtime saviours and plenty of afternoon pick-me-ups, Brew & Bite serves us indulgent goodness at any time of the day.

BECKY’S FAVE: Rocky Road at North Acomb Farm Shop

Bywell, Stocksfield, Northumberland NE43 7UF

Whenever Becky is on a countryside walk in Northumberland on the weekend she loves to pop into North Acomb Farm Shop to pick up some Rocky Roads to bring into the office to have with her 3 o’clock cuppa. With the soft melt-in-your-mouth marshmallows paired with crunchy caramel biscuits, it’s hard to see why this is Becky’s favourite sweet chocolatey treat that helps to give her that last push for the day.

There’s something about buying local that makes you feel at home. And when you step inside North Acomb Farm Shop, you’ll feel the warm, friendly atmosphere that’ll make you feel part of their family straight away, especially with their range of delicious home-baked treats.
