It’s safe to say that everyone has their own concerns whether that be skin problems, lack of energy or aches and pains in your joints.

Although we all try to have a balanced diet as best as we can it’s easier said than done to make sure we get all those vitamins we need. This could be the reason for your concerns.

Enter, Get A Drip, Newcastle

This mobile health and wellbeing service covers the North East and offers vitamin IV drips and booster shots that provide you with all the vitamins and nutrition your body needs to function.

All you have to do is sit back in the comfort of your own home with a cuppa in your hand while the highly trained registered nurses at Get A Drip refuel your body with vegan-friendly, natural ingredients through a vitamin drip leaving you feeling energised, hydrated and restored.

We can guarantee you’re in safe hands with Get A Drip Newcastle Owner and NHS registered Ward Sister, Becky Robinson, who has bags of experience offers free consultations and will tailor a treatment plan unique to you.

We caught up with Becky to find out more about the benefits of an IV drip.

What is an IV drip?

A vitamin drip is a unique way to support your health and well-being. Nutrients are delivered directly into the bloodstream intravenously (IV).

How does an IV drip work?

  • I will site a cannula into your vein, we check basic observations including blood pressure and heart rate.
  • We will then mix the drip and explain the benefits of each vitamin/antioxidant we are adding, and then administer via the cannula at a regulated speed for monitoring.
  • Following this, we re-check observations, remove the cannula and apply a tape that reduces the chances of bruising.

What does an IV drip do?

Everyone needs vitamins for the body to function normally and our drips can be tailormade specifically for your health concerns. There is an IV drip treatment for anyone and everyone.

  • Combats stress, fatigue and low energy levels
  • Helps if you’re lacking B12 or vitamin D levels (perfect for vegans)
  • Improves skin health
  • Combats cancer symptoms through a high dose of vitamin C
  • Strengthens a weak immune system
  • Detoxes your body
  • Hydrates
  • Improves concentration and memory
  • Supports cholesterol levels
  • Improves heart health

How long does an IV drip last?

The drip duration takes between 20 minutes and an hour. We offer an ‘express drip’ for those who are pushed for time, with less fluid but the same volume of vitamins. – a quick fix, perfect if you’re wanting a quick pick-me-up on your lunch break.

How often do you need an IV drip?

We recommend having a repeat treatment every four to six weeks to maintain the levels of vitamins.

Is IV drip safe?

All our treatments are administered by Registered Nurses, I am a Ward Sister, still working in the NHS and I am degree qualified. You will be asked to complete a medical questionnaire before your treatment and all treatments are prescribed by our team.

Do IV vitamin drips actually work?

By receiving your vitamins by drip or injection, you are absorbing 100% of the vitamins, there is nothing lost through malabsorption.

It is important to acknowledge that every client’s results differ, however, we encourage clients to try different things, try our blood testing and DNA testing service so we know where you are deficient and tailor the treatment exactly to your needs.
