Foodie lovers, listen up. Sunderland Restaurant Week is back between Saturday 4th and Sunday 12th of March 2023.

Over 50 bars, cafes and restaurants in Sunderland are taking part and will be cutting the cost of their menus for one week only thanks to the Sunderland BID and supported by Sunderland City Council.

Whether wanting to visit your foodie favourites or fancy trying one of the city’s latest openings, here’s where we’ll be booking a table this Sunderland Restaurant Week.

SIX AT PIER POINT, SUNDERLAND

Offer: Two brunch plates for £10, a sharing bowl with two small glasses of house wine for £15; a large sharing board with two small glasses of house wine for £20 

Wine and dine at a discounted price by booking a table at this luxury wine bar and restaurant with the most captivating sea views. From king prawns and mussels cooked in nduja, white wine and cream sauce with chunks of warm focaccia to a selection of flavoursome cured meats, expect to be served delicious sharing boards, a range of tapas and a menu filled with freshly-caught seafood.

BURGeR, SUNDERLAND

Offer: Honey bacon double or American classic and dirty fries for £10; any burger, any loaded fries and any dog for £15

You can’t go wrong with a juicy burger, right? BURGeR brings us banging burgers and dirty fries for just £10 – it would be rude not to. From a honey bacon double to an American classic and salt and pepper fries with chilli and honey hoisin sauce, tuck into the finest food that American cuisine has to offer this Sunderland Restaurant Week.

If you’re never sure of what you fancy to eat, then tapas and bao buns at 808 Bar & Kitchen are definitely right up your street. We’re talking honey chilli chicken bao buns, Thai satay belly pork and garlic and chilli prawns. Dive into some fantastic food washed down with even better cocktails in stylish, vibrant and Instagrammable surroundings.

This firm family favourite in Sunderland, Roma Italian, that’s new to Sunderland Restaurant Week this year serves a magnificent combination of modern and classic Italian dishes. There’s nothing like tucking into some hearty comfort food while catching up with your loved ones. We’re talking potato skins for starters and classic oven-baked lasagne washed down with a glass of vino. Bon appetite!

CHILLI MANGOES, SUNDERLAND

Offer: Two cocktails for £10; a four-course set meal with a selected drink for £15; popadoms and pickles, a four-course set meal and a cocktail or other alcoholic drink for £20

If you want to spice things up this Restaurant Week, we’ve found just the menu for you. Serving up only the finest South Indian street food, Chilli Mangoes have a delicious deal with this with a four-course set meal and a pint for just £15. From chicken wings dipped in a tangy tamarind sauce to street butter prawn masala, there’s nothing like a curry night to help break up your working week.
