Those of you who love boho clothing may already be aware of Flaura Rose…

Owned by 32-year-old Laura Walvin she’s well known in the region for her reworked vintage denim jackets and own-design super-cool clothing.

Well, this week she’s opening her own bricks and mortar store – the latest addition to Ouseburn’s ever-growing indie shopping scene.

Expect disco balls, neon lights and good vibes only – with a side of coffee and doughnuts – creating a fun place to hang out as well as shop.

Plus a banging events calendar, kicking off with a Taylor Swift Eras banner making workshop led by Bianco Perry (more info on that soon).

The important bit – when is it opening?

Kicking off with a party on Wednesday 13^th March, 5.00pm – 7.00pm, head down for some pink prosecco and opening celebrations.

After that, the store will be open from 10.00am on Thursday 14^th March – check their Instagram for full opening times.

THE VIBE

Described as ‘girl gang disco vibes’ – this isn’t just a shop but a great new place to hang out with like-minded girls.

Laura’s vision is to curate a selection of fashion and lifestyle pieces from female-owned indie businesses in the North East.

As well as showcasing her own collection – super cool boho print pieces that are totally unique. Inspired by visiting her dad in India and her experience studying fashion at University in London, these are really unique pieces that are guaranteed to turn heads.

As well as reworked denim jackets with a range of one-off prints on the back, from hand painted designs to cool prints. You can even get your own bespoke jacket made if you have a specific idea in mind.

Designed as a place to hang out as well as shop, there’ll also be coffee flowing from Tynemouth Coffee and doughnuts from R Place.
