Trending jewellery brands to shop now

By Jenny Brownlees

Great jewellery harnesses the power to enhance any outfit — a small styling detail can be the key to taking a look from meh to major. Styling laid-back daywear with a statement necklace or earrings is an easy way to give a contrasting, fashion-forward edge to your OOTD. Whether you covet chunky chains or love minimal, delicate styles, there’s something for everyone in the jewellery stakes this season. Having a go-to collection of stylish, quality pieces will make putting together an outfit much easier — they often are the finishing touch that’s missing. Jewellery trends are also an easy way to update your wardrobe for the summer season, and a fun way to experiment with new styles.

On the spring catwalks, there were ample sources of jewellery inspiration. We saw everything from eclectic oversized pieces to classic styles like pearls — as shown at Jason Wu, Tory Burch, Gucci and Burberry. Gold was king, but glints of silver and rose gold still made an appearance on many of the fashion week runways. Designers including Proenza Schouler showed us that gold hoops are a style investment that will look great year upon year, and we spotted an array of statement and sculptural looks that made simplistic outfits really pop. Trend-wise, shells and sea-inspired pieces are going nowhere, with designers Oscar de la Renta and Prada embracing the under-the-sea theme.

Whilst many stores offer trending jewellery at a very low price, pieces are prone to breaking, (not to mention turning your skin green) whereas we can guarantee these picks will stand the test of time and elevate your jewellery style season after season. So, if you’d like to up your jewellery game from the high street but don’t want to break the bank — the following nine mid-price labels are the gateway to the pieces of the moment.

Rock n Rose

Middlesbrough-based, female-founded brand Rock n Rose not only offer their own trend-focused pieces but are unbeatable when it comes to pre-loved, heirloom jewels too. Not only are vintage-inspired items in vogue right now, but the eco element is also such a bonus. Rock n Rose’s solid gold rings are already in circulation, meaning no new diamonds, precious stones or gold have to be used. The brand puts sustainability at the heart of their business, in everything from its vintage finds to ensuring their packaging is plastic-free, biodegradable and/or compostable. Even their returns forms are printed on recycled paper, and not only that, Rock n Rose embrace small batch-making, meaning little waste, with products come from ethical suppliers. We are coveting the vintage Meredith ring for a wear-all-year style that adds a timeless touch to modern outfits.

I’MMANY

Florals for spring really are groundbreaking when they come in the form of I’MMANY’s real pressed flower pieces. This independent brand’s signature collection showcases nature’s most beautiful materials, including blooms of roses, daisies and hydrangeas in jewellery form. The label experiment and craft with a wide range of natural materials, designing and making their beautifully unique products right here in the UK. Their collection features freshwater pearls, semi-precious gemstones and fruit-inspired styles that will amplify any outfit, and offer a change from solely metallic pieces. I’MMANY’s ethos is to capture the fleeting beauty of nature in wearable pieces, so you can style your look with a playful, romantic elegance. Their wonderfully whimsical designs are so right for right now, with floral-based jewels seen on the catwalk at Ulla Johnson and the Elie Saab and Schiaparelli Haute Couture shows.

Tada and Toy

Founded by designers and friends Tansy and Victoria (and named after their perspective childhood nicknames) this London-based brand is perfect for finding those effortlessly chic pieces that will level-up your accessory game. Tada and Toy mix playful designs with modern Scandinavian style, in a demi-fine range that’ll bring a little luxe to your look. Perfect for layering or wearing alone, you can pair their jewellery with everything from casual wear to an outfit for a special occasion. Consider this brand the doorway to achieving a chic, cool-girl aesthetic. Their iconic star ear cuff is a personal favourite piece, looking so chic when worn alone or with studs, drop-earrings or hoops.

Catherine Zoraida

Catherine Zoraida’s jewellery has been worn by a plethora of stylish ladies including Beyonce, the Duchess of Cambridge, Gigi Hadid, Emma Watson, Alicia Vikander, Rita Ora and Naomie Harris. We think they must love what we love about the brand — fashion-forward designs that add that perfect finishing touch, no matter what we’re wearing. After all, no outfit is complete without jewellery. Everything from this store sparks joy — slip on one of the brand’s necklaces or rings and we guarantee you’ll feel instantly more put together. Catherine Zoraida has designed for high-profile labels including Vivienne Westwood, Matthew Williamson, Lulu Guinness and more. Now, for her eponymous label, she has created a range of stunningly handcrafted, trending items that are handmade in England. No matter if you’re looking for something subtle or ready to embrace a bolder style, you’ll wear this brand’s quality jewels again and again.

Roxanne Asoulin

Considered the go-to label for colourful and fun styles, Roxanne Assoulin is adored by the fashion crowd. If you want to something that embraces playfulness, look no further than Asoulin’s smile-inducing items. Instantly recognisable, these pieces are perfect for making jewellery the focal point of your weekend look. Asoulin has said she wants her jewellery to make people feel happy, and these items do just that. The brand’s vibrant, ultra-feminine jewels also mimic those seen on the S/S 2020 catwalks — where Marc Jacobs, Ulla Johnson and Ports 1961 all turned to bold, coloured jewellery to accessorise outfits — we say stack ‘em up!

Daisy jewellery

Founder of Daisy, Ruth Bewsey created the brand in order to cater to those who craved affordable, fashion-forward yet luxe jewellery, pieces she found were often missing from women’s jewellery collections. Each piece is effortlessly chic and wonderfully wearable, ideal for slipping on every day to become an integral part of your style repertoire. Like the brand’s namesake, many items are inspired by wildflowers and though evoking a bohemian-feel, still look beautifully modern. Daisy’s cool-girl pieces are laid-back yet polished, which gives scope for you to dress them up or down. Better yet, Daisy is working hard to be eco-friendly — all items are created from recycled materials. A brand that’s stylish and sustainable? That gets a double thumbs up from us.

Astrid & Miyu’s dainty pieces are so now, perfect for creating a standout look that’ll add a renewed sense of energy to your summer wardrobe. Monica Vinader

This luxe label perfectly bridges the gap between the fashion and fine jewellery market. MV is all about the wearer’s individuality — allowing you to style, stack and even personalise their contemporary jewellery with custom engraving. The brand is unbeatable when it comes to creating luxurious jewellery that doesn’t cost the earth, though it looks as if it should. Vinader’s unique designs are loved by celebs including Emma Watson, Olivia Palermo and the Duchess of Cambridge and though the brand is loved internationally, Norfolk remains at the heart of the design process, where Monica and her creative team develop all of the collections. Not only are their vibrant gemstones and diamond pieces timelessly elegant, MV is wonderfully committed to ensuring gems are sourced ethically. The designer has been awarded the Butterfly Mark by Positive Luxury for a commitment to sustainability and is a member of the Responsible Jewellery Council. These are pieces you will cherish forever and will never go out of style.
